We are so impressed with the finished product. The work was completed to time scales and to an exceptional high standard. James was fantastic and always on hand to give advice and support around design and materials.

The team really did go the extra mile to ensure the work was completed to budget and of the highest quality.

The finish was so authentic and in keeping with the style of the house. The team were professional at all times but equally very friendly and approachable.

Having taken the decision to have our loft converted, we contacted several loft conversion specialist contractors, including some notable national firms, and received largely indifferent feedback assistance and communication.

We then decided to contact a local firm and from the first conversation with Andrea at UpAnotherLevel, it was apparent that they would only not provide the highest level of service, but that they had intimate knowledge of conversions and were able to offer practical and professional advice.

This expertise and level of service carried on throughout the whole process of the conversion, from initial inspection and quotation, to erecting scaffolding and finally to the actual conversion itself was of the highest quality.

The team, lead by James and Wayne, were excellent throughout. They made themselves available for questions and explained the process and made recommendations as the build went along. They were also on hand afterwards to resolve any minor issues and the office were always there to answer any administrative problems.

Being a local firm, there was a real sense of ownership and pride in their work in the knowledge that reputation is everything.

Indeed, we also asked them to do several other bits of work to our property and they were always willing to help, nothing seemed too much, including coming out on a weekend to secure the roof cover which had been blown slightly away.

Every tradesmen that worked on the project, I would re-employ if I needed their particular trade again, all were courteous and couldn’t do enough.

Quality and delivery of service is quite a rare thing in the building trade, too often people promise a lot and deliver very little – nothing could be further from this as far as UpAnotherLevel are concerned.

Since the work has been completed we have had numerous requests for their number and anyone we speak to in our road (where several conversions have taken place) comments that ours is easily the most aesthetically pleasing and professional looking.

I would recommend the firm to anyone looking to get their loft converted. You will not be disappointed.

Up another level have carried out work on a number of my properties, I found them to be very professional, competitive and work to a great standard.

I will use them again when I carry out a conversion.

A few years ago we rebuilt the attic of our 1930s semi. It had been accessed through a hatch by loft ladder from the landing, there was enough room to stand up in it but we guessed that it could be extended.

Up Another Level were so helpful and easy to deal with. They produced all the necessary plans. Nothing we suggested was too difficult for them, though sometimes they advised us in another direction.

There was plenty of space for a proper staircase, the woodwork copying the house original one. We decided against an ensuite and are very glad that we have a shower room and WC with plenty of space accessed at the top of the stairs. This enables it to be used by the rest of the household.

We are so pleased with the result. Up Another Level gave us a spacious double bedroom with a walk-in cupboard and low wall access into the roof space.

We had fitted wardrobes made along one wall. We chose a full length window which enables a good view of the back gardens.

UAL could not have been better builders making very little disruption to the house in the process and they were lovely friendly, helpful people.

James came around to our house to give us a quotation for the loft conversion.

His manner was great and price was very competitive. Therefore we decided to go ahead with the works…I couldn’t fault anything!

The workers were polite and did a great job… mess was kept to a minimum… communication was excellent throughout… and now it is our favourite room in the house!

We went with Up Another Level initially as their price was really competitive but they also offered “extras”, such as removing the chimney to the first floor, which helped with remodelling the room below.

We waited a long time for the work to start, because of Covid, but once the team (Scott and Nick) started they worked incredibly hard, discussing everything with us as the job progressed.

The work was completed quickly but to a really high standard, and the room far exceeded our expectations.

We are delighted with our loft from Up Another Level. The finish is excellent, the build was on time and the project has exceeded our expectations.

The team working on our build were great to have around; polite, respectful and helpful. They helped us to make the best of our space along the way, e.g. making suggestions for the bathroom and adding an extra velux at the top of the stairs. All the associated trades used by UAL were also very good which provided an end to end service where everything happened in sequence and without delay. Every single tradesperson who worked on the build was exemplary.

We found UAL to be fairly and reasonably priced. They were always open and upfront about costs and happy to help us find options to fit our budget.We found the whole experience to be a really good one despite being quite daunted as this was our first building project.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Up Another Level.

Up Another Level converted my loft space into a perfect attic master en-suite bedroom.

I was impressed with their service from the very start and they exceeded my expectations in all areas. The communication I had with them was priceless and definitely made the whole process so much easier and manageable. I had a very tricky situation with my neighbour who refused to sign the party wall agreement.

Up Another Level went above and beyond with helping me to sort this out. They gave advice, recommendations and reassurance and made contact with the council, my surveyor and my neighbour on my behalf. I’m not sure how many other companies would have provided what felt like a personal service.

My extension was further complicated by Covid-19 but yet again the whole process went as smoothly as it possibly could have thanks to the communication with the team. I am so happy with the design and the ideas that the builders had; they were always on hand to give me their invaluable professional advice.

The builders are very professional and definitely have an eye for detail, I never expected a loft as amazing as what I have. I considered myself quite a fussy customer as I was so picky with what I wanted but the team were happy to accommodate and even made suggestions that I would never have thought of. The workmen were great and I was happy to trust them with home whilst I was out working.

I am delighted with the finished product and would most definitely recommend Up Another Level to anybody who wants to vastly improve their home with a loft conversion 🙂

Up Another Level converted our loft space into another bedroom and ensuite bathroom earlier this year.

Communication was great throughout and the workmen were polite, courteous and always helpful. We are incredibly happy with our new room.

There were a few minor issues that cropped-up post-completion of the work. Every time we’ve contacted UAL they have been lighting fast to respond and come to resolve any problems.

They built our loft conversion this year and it was built to a high standard. The team were in charge of day to day operations and showed themselves to be organised and flexible to turn the architect’s plans into a quality structure. The cost was in excess of £30,000 and we are very satisfied with the outcome.

The conversion involved installation of dormer window and staircase, and alterations to the ground floor to comply with building and fire regulations. In addition coordinated the plumber, electrician, and plasterers to ensure the job was done efficiently and neatly.

Whenever we had discussions about the details of the job (positions of windows, lights, doors etc), they were always cooperative and had their own helpful suggestions.
